JEEVAN NAGENDRAN, MD, PHD, FRCSC
Founder and Chief Technical Officer
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Jeevan Nagendran is a cardiac surgeon and researcher at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and University of Alberta Hospital. Jeevan started Solidified with the goal of helping improve the outcomes and quality of life for the patients with valvular heart disease that he helps treat every day.
JAYAN NAGENDRAN, MD, PHD, FRCSC

Jayan Nagendran is a cardiac surgeon and researcher at the University of Alberta. As founder of Solified, Jayan hopes to bring the technology he helped develop into clinical use where it can help patients effected by valvular heart disease. With a broad range of experience both within cardiac surgery and in the business world as co-founder of Tevosol Inc, Jayan hopes to use his expertise to help bring Solidified Inc to the forefront of treatment for valvular heart disease.
SABIN BOZSO, MD, PHD
Chief Scientific Officer
Sabin Bozso is a resident in the division of cardiac surgery at the University of Alberta. Sabin completed a PhD during his residency contributing significantly to the advances made by Solidified. Sabin's research focused on developing a tissue engineered scaffold that reduces the immune response formed by the body, which can be used to create the ideal heart valve.
JIMMY KANG, MD
Academic Advisor
Jimmy Kang is a graduate of the University of Alberta medical program and resident in the division of cardiac surgery at the University of Alberta. Jimmy worked throughout his medical school career and during his residency to contribute to the growth of Solidified since the beginning.
RYAAN EL-ANDARI, MD
Academic Advisor
Ryaan EL-Andari is a graduate of the University of Alberta MD program and the most recent addition to the University of Alberta cardiac surgery residency program. Ryaan has worked throughout his medical school and residency career, since the inception of Solidified, to develop the technology utilized in creating our ideal tissue heart valves.
